King of Avalon marketing push
Here's a bit more detailed process of what came to be the starting of the big new marketing push for King Of Avalon at FunPlus last year. In fact, about July of last year, 2016, the game was barely getting traction in the app store. So the team asked me to take a look at the game and the app store images. The immediate thing that stood out to me is that the game was too generic and not focusing on the theme of the title. The game was suppose to revolve around the story of King Arthur and the myth of the sword. But literally, there was no art that showed the main characters. King Arthur, Lady of the lake, the sword, etc. So I helped design the campaign, hired the freelance artist to do the design and paint, and art directed the whole process. I am proud to say that the game has gone on to becoming the worlds top 25 game. I think I helped get the ball rolling in that direction. The team did hire the right art director eventually, who focused on the game content, and i cant take credit for that, but the initial push to turn the game around, I can say I played a part in it.
